Move a component
Purpose
This training document gives instructions for moving a component. You may need to move a component if you would like to arrange the components on a page differently.

Experience Editor
- To access Experience Editor, select ‘Publish’ in the top navigation, and then ‘Experience Editor’.
Moving a component
- Select the component on the page you’d like to edit. You will know that you are hovering over a component when your mouse changes to look like a hand with a pointing finger.
- Click on the move component icon on the menu that has appeared on the component you selected.
- Scroll up/down and select the ‘Move to here’ button where you’d like to move the component to. It’s located on the left top and bottom sides of the components.
- Select the component type that you’d like to add. Click here to see examples of each component type.
- Click the save icon in the top navigation ribbon.
Submitting a page for approval
- When you have finished editing a page in the content editor, or the experience editor, select ‘Review’ from the top navigation ribbon.
- Select ‘Submit for approval’. Approvers will be notified via an email.
