Adding a new news release

  1. Log into Sitecore using your credentials.
  2. Select the Content Editor.
  3. In the content tree of the content editor Navigate to Media > News Releases in the content tree.
  4. Right click on News Releases in the content tree and select Insert > News release page
  5. Open the News Releases folder in the content tree, and select the correct folder for the year. Right click on the folder, and select Insert > News release page.
  6. Enter a name for the news release page.
  7. Right click on the item and select Copying > Move to.
  8. Move this item to the right folder.
  9. Under Content in the item tree list, update the fields ‘date’, ‘location’ and ‘boilerplate’.
  10. Under Boilerplate add a contact.
  11. Scroll down and continue adding any additional fields including a title and the body text.
  12. Under Options, ensure the show social sharing buttons checkbox is checked.
  13. Under Metadata, update the page description.
  14. Under navigation, check the ‘show this item in navigation’ box.
