Adding a new blog

  1. Log into Sitecore using your credentials.
  2. Select the Content Editor.
  3. Find the item ‘Blog’ in the content tree and select it.
  4. To add a new blog, select the item blog in the content tree of the content editor.
  5. Right click on the item and select Insert > Blog post page.
  6. Enter a name for your blog and press OK.
  7. Right click on the blog you just created, and select Copying > Move to.
  8. Select the correct year folder and press ‘Move’.

Editing the blog

In the item tree on the right, under ‘Content’ update the following:

  • Type of post
  • Published date
  • Topics
  • Title
  • Summary
  • Body
    *You can use the editor for a WYSIWYG experience, or you can edit the HTML. For basic HTML click here.
  • Banner Image
  • Banner image focus
  • Under ‘Options’ select whether you’d like the blog to show social sharing buttons.
  • Scroll down to metadata and add a page description. For more instructions on adding a page description and title, click here.
  • Scroll down to Publishing and select a publish date and time.
